Veliyev Yevgeni Ibadovich

From 1990 till 1993 Yevgeni Ibadovich had his postgraduate studies at the department of urology of the Military Medical Academy named after SM Kirov (Saint Petersburg). From 1994 till 2003 he was the head of the department and the associate professor at the same department. Nowadays he is a professor of the department of urology at the Russian Medical Academy for Post-Graduate Education and the head of the department of urology at the City clinical hospital named after S.P. Botkin of Moscow Healthcare Department. 

Yevgeni Ibadovich defended his thesis entitled "Optimization of surgical management in treating patients with localized prostate cancer". This work was highly recognized by leading Russian urologists and oncologists as a scientific publication unique for its content and quality and therefore valuable for Russian urology. 

Ye.I. Veliyev has undergone the traineeship in German hospitals as well as other leading European and world-renowned clinics. He is a member of the American Urological Association and the European Association of Urology, member of the Russian society of urologists. He is an active participant of international and Russian conferences.

Among the main priorities of his professional and scientific work are surgical oncology, primarily urology (prostate, bladder, renal and testicular cancer), surgical treatment for kidney diseases and other urinary tract disorders, reconstructive bladder and urinary tract surgery, penile reconstruction surgery, general urology. He is a recognized specialist in surgical treatment of localized prostate cancer and invasive bladder cancer.

Ye.I. Veliyev is one of the pioneers in Russia, who implemented into daily routine practice radical prostatectomy which is considered to be the most effective surgical procedure for treating early-stage prostate cancer. He has a huge professional experience of performing this type of surgical operations in Russia and a unique for Russia experience of using neurosaving technique in performing radical prostatectomy. The last surgical advance has enabled preservation of potency for men.

Yevgeni Ibadovich is an author of more than 150 scientific publications, articles, monographs. He has certificates in urology and oncology and the higher qualification in urology.
