The frequency and degree of complications and adverse events following radical prostatectomy (RPE) depend on many factors; a major factor of them includes a surgeon’s experience. In this connection, the results of an operation were analyzed in relation to surgical experience. The results of 215 RPE cases were examined. The median postoperative follow-up was 53 months (range 3–132 months). The analysis was made in 3 steps: 1) 2000−2006 (n = 60), 2) 2007−2009 (n = 74), 3) 2010−2011 (n = 81). It was found that perioperative, functional, and oncological results improved, quality of life in patients increased, and treatment costs decreased as surgical experience was higher. Thus, the analysis has confirmed that a surgeon’s experience is a major factor that influences all the results of RPE.

Частота и степень выраженности осложнений и нежелательных последствий после радикальной простатэктомии (РПЭ) зависят от многих факторов, к числу главных из них относят и опыт хирурга. В связи с этим проведен анализ результатов операции в зависимости от хирургического опыта. Исследованы результаты 215 случаев РПЭ. Медиана срока наблюдения пациентов после операции составила 53 (3−132) мес. Анализ проведен по 3 этапам: 2000−2006 гг. (n = 60), 2007−2009 гг. (n = 74), 2010−2011 гг. (n = 81). Выявлено, что по мере увеличения хирургического опыта улучшались периоперационные, функциональные и онкологические результаты, повышалось качество жизни пациентов и снижались затраты на лечение. Таким образом, анализ подтвердил, что опыт хирурга является основным фактором, влияющим на все результаты РПЭ.
