This review systematizes current data on the role of ferroptosis in the pathogenesis of major urological malignancies, including prostate cancer, renal cell carcinoma, and urothelial carcinoma. The relationship between the specific metabolic profile of genitourinary tumors and their susceptibility to lipid peroxidation is analyzed. Mechanisms of ferroptosis suppression associated with androgen receptor activity, intracytoplasmic lipid metabolism, and the functioning of antioxidant defense systems are examined. Special emphasis is placed on the morphological criteria and ultrastructural features that enable the verification of ferroptosis in tumor tissue.</p>
Особое внимание уделено морфологическим критериям и ультраструктурным признакам, позволяющим верифицировать ферроптоз в опухолевой ткани.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>ferroptosis</kwd><kwd>prostate cancer</kwd><kwd>clear cell renal cell carcinoma</kwd><kwd>bladder cancer</kwd><kwd>lipid metabolism</kwd><kwd>antioxidant defense</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>ферроптоз</kwd><kwd>рак предстательной железы</kwd><kwd>светлоклеточный почечно-клеточный рак</kwd><kwd>рак мочевого пузыря</kwd><kwd>липидный обмен</kwd><kwd>антиоксидантная защита</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><award-group><funding-source><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="ru">Министерство науки и высшего образования Российской Федерации</institution></institution-wrap><institution-wrap><institution xml:lang="en">Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation</institution></institution-wrap></funding-source></award-group><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The work was carried out with the financial support of the strategic leadership program “Priority 2030” of the Bashkir State Medical University, Ministry of Health of Russia.</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Работа выполнена при финансовой поддержке программы стратегического лидерства «Приоритет 2030» ФГБОУ ВО «Башкирский государственный медицинский университет» Минздрава России.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Bray F., Laversanne M., Sung H. et al.
