The success of using Immune checkpoint inhibitors in metastatic urothelial cancer raised the question of effectiveness of immunotherapy added to standard first-line chemotherapy. This review presents data coming from actual studies examining chemotherapy and immunotherapy in urothelial cancer, or a combination of these methods. Ongoing and planned clinical studies should help identify the optimal sequencing, feasibility of combination, and best duration of treatment with checkpoint inhibitors in urothelial cancer.</p>
Текущие и запланированные клинические исследования должны помочь определить оптимальную комбинацию и последовательность назначения иммуноонкологических и химиотерапевтических препаратов, а также эффективность и безопасность данного подхода при уротелиальном раке.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>urothelial cancer</kwd><kwd>immunochemotherapy</kwd><kwd>immune checkpoint inhibitor</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>уротелиальный рак</kwd><kwd>иммунохимиотерапия</kwd><kwd>ингибитор контрольных точек иммунитета</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Powles T., Csoszi T., Ozguroglu M. et al.
